# Terms

Last changed October 31, 2026. Questions: [hello@locotap.com](mailto:hello@locotap.com)

## Using LocoTap

- LocoTap is for running a business. Signing in means you agree to these terms.
- You need to be old enough to make an agreement where you live.
- You look after your email: whoever can read it can sign in as you.
- You choose who joins your team, and what they do there is on your account.

## Your work is yours

- What you put in stays yours. You let us keep it, show it to you and your team, and use it for what you ask, like a PDF or an AI answer.
- You can download your books or delete your account any time; [Privacy](https://locotap.com/privacy) says what each covers.

## What it costs

- Business is free for 30 days from sign-up, with no card. Nothing is charged unless you add one.
- Without a card, you get 7 more days, then your books are read-only: you can still open, print and download them.
- A paid plan is paid ahead and can be stopped any time; it lasts to the end of what you paid for.

## Papers and numbers

- Estimates, contracts, rates and tax lines are a start, not legal, tax or money advice.
- You set your own rates, taxes and terms. Check the rule where you work.

## Fair use

- Don't use LocoTap to break the law, send spam or keep details you have no right to.
- Don't try to get into someone else's account, or to slow or break the site.

## When things change

- We may change, add or retire a tool. If LocoTap closes, you get time to download everything.
- We may close an account that breaks these terms; we'll say why when we can.
- If these terms change, the date at the top does too. A big change, we email you first.

## Our promise, and its limits

- We work to keep LocoTap running and your work safe, but we can't promise it never stops or never errs.
- As far as the law allows, we owe you no more than you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100 if that's more.
- As far as the law allows, we don't owe for indirect loss, like lost profit or lost jobs.
- None of this limits what the law won't let us limit, like fraud or harm done on purpose.
