Consignor split calculator
Put in the tag price and your split, flat or by price, and see the consignor's payout after fees and what the shop keeps. Then plan the markdowns, find the tag that pays what they ask, and print their statement.

How it works
- 1 Put in the tag price, any discount at the till, and whether it was paid by card or cash.
- 2 Set your split: one rate for everything, or tiers by price. The tag draws itself, with the consignor's payout above the tear line and the shop's share on the stub.
- 3 Add the fees you charge: a minimum the shop keeps, a fee per item, the card fee and who pays it, and any bonus for taking store credit.
- 4 Plan the markdowns, find the tag that pays what a consignor asks, see where a tiered split pays one side less, and print a payout statement.
Free, with no account. Everything is worked out on this page: prices, sales and consignor names are never kept or sent to us, and never put in a link. Remember keeps your split, fees, markdowns and sales list on this device, and only while it's on. It never keeps a consignor's name or account number.
Good to know
- What split should I use?
- Your own. The split filled in is a starting point, not an industry figure: what you take in, how long it sits, your rent and the work of pricing and tagging all change what works for your shop.
- What happens at a tier's top?
- If the whole price is paid at one tier's rate, an item just over a tier's top can leave one side with less than it would get at the top itself. The tool marks those stretches. Paying each part of the price at its own rate, like tax brackets, means a higher price never pays anyone less.
- Is the split on the price with tax?
- No. Here it's always on the price before HST, since the tax belongs to neither side. Whether HST applies to a consignment sale, and to which part, depends on whether the shop and the consignor are registered. Check with an accountant or the CRA before you set it up.
- Who pays the card fee?
- You choose: the shop, the consignor, or both in the same split. The fee is charged on what the customer pays, tax and all, so the tool works it out on that. Put it in your consignment agreement so nobody is surprised.
- What's on the printed sheets?
- The counter card explains your split, fees and markdowns to consignors, with nothing about the shop's own numbers. The payout statement lists one consignor's sales and what they're owed.
