How it works

  1. 1 Say what earns a stamp and what the reward is, in English, French or both, and how many stamps fill a card.
  2. 2 Make it yours: your colours, your logo or initials, and the mark your rubber stamp leaves. Try the card the way a customer will, one stamp a visit.
  3. 3 Download the cards, ten to a sheet or one for a print shop, then the counter sign with your rules and a stamp guide to take to the stamp shop.

Free, with no account. Your logo is made ready on this device, and nothing you type is sent anywhere until you download. Nothing is kept.

Good to know

Can stamps expire in Ontario?
Not just because time has passed. Ontario's Protecting Rewards Points Act, 2016 says reward points can't run out from time alone, from January 1, 2018. It has exceptions, such as points lost after a stretch with no activity when the program's terms say so (verify). “Stamps never expire” keeps clear of all of it, and the tool warns you if your own small print adds a date. This is a guide, not legal advice.
Why start the card with stamps already on it?
People finish what they've already started. In a study of a car wash's loyalty cards, more customers finished a card of 10 with 2 stamps given than a card of 8 with none, though both needed 8 washes (Nunes & Drèze, 2006). A head start costs nothing extra: the number of visits to the reward stays the same.
What's a double-stamp day for?
Filling a slow day. Pick the quietest day of your week, and every visit that day earns two stamps. It's printed under the stamps and on the counter sign, so customers learn it, and it costs only on the day you'd otherwise be empty.
How do I stop people faking stamps?
Use a stamp nobody can buy in a craft store: your initials, or your own design, in one ink colour you always use. Keep it and the blank cards behind the counter, and stamp after they've paid. The stamp guide prints the exact size to order, with circles to test it on before you stamp a real card.
How should I print them?
At home, on US Letter at 100% or “Actual size”, not “Fit to page”: ten cards to a sheet, fronts on one page and backs on the next, laid out so they line up when you print both sides. Heavier paper takes a stamp better. For a print shop, choose the one-card file: 3½ × 2 inches with ⅛ inch of bleed, the size most shops ask for (verify with yours). Ask for an uncoated card, so the ink dries instead of smudging.
Is the French right?
It was written for this tool and kept short and plain, but have a French speaker read it before you print a batch. You can rewrite the offer, the line under the stamps and every rule in each language.
