How it works

  1. 1 Put in a typical regular: what a visit brings in, how often they come and how many years they keep coming.
  2. 2 Add what a visit costs you, as a percent or in dollars, to see what they keep you and not just what they spend.
  3. 3 Add how many referred friends become regulars, and the reward you give, or leave it blank for a suggestion.
  4. 4 Watch it build year by year, compare referral rewards, see what adds the most, and print the page.

Free, with no account. Everything is worked out on this page: your numbers are never kept or sent to us, and never put in a link. It never asks for a customer's name or details. Remember keeps your typical regular and your reward on this device, and only while it's on.

Good to know

Why count what's kept, not what's spent?
What a regular spends isn't all yours: each visit costs you product, supplies and the card fee. What's left is what a regular really adds, and it's the number to weigh a reward or a perk against. Rent and wages are paid either way, so they're left out.
How is a referral reward worked out?
A referred friend who comes once keeps you one visit; one who becomes a regular keeps you a whole run. With your guess at how many stay, that gives what a referral is worth, and the suggested reward gives away a share of it. Money off costs you all of it; a free extra costs you only what the extra costs.
How sure are these numbers?
They're as good as your guesses. How long regulars stay and how many referred friends stay are estimates, and a dollar years from now is counted the same as one today. Use it to compare choices, not as a forecast. This is guidance, not financial or tax advice.
Are there rules for referral programs?
If you ask regulars to pass on a message from you, Canada's anti-spam law has rules for refer-a-friend messages (verify). If the reward is a gift card, most gift cards in Ontario and several other provinces can't expire (verify for your province).
