Feeding & medication chart
Turn each pet's food and meds into a kennel card with a box for every meal and dose, and check the meds will last the stay.
Help and background Back to the tool
How it works
- 1 Set your rounds: the times staff walk round to feed and give meds. Name them and set the times your shop uses.
- 2 Add each pet with its stay, and copy in the food and meds the way the family wrote them: how much at each round, the dose off the label, and how many they brought. It counts every meal and dose of the stay and says if the meds will run out.
- 3 Print a kennel card for each door, tick meals and doses on the Rounds tab as you go, and copy a going-home note for the family from what was ticked.
Free, with no account. Pet names, family names, meals and meds stay on this page: nothing is sent anywhere, and they are kept on this device only if you tick Remember.
Good to know
- Why does the first and last day look different?
- A pet that checks in at supper doesn’t need breakfast that day, and one that goes home after breakfast doesn’t need supper. Pick the first and last round they’re here for, and the card only has boxes for those.
- How does it know the meds will last?
- It multiplies the number at the start of the dose by the doses in the stay. “½ tablet” twice a day for 3 days needs 3 tablets. If a dose can’t be counted, like “a pea-sized dab”, it says so, and you check by eye.
- What stops a dose being given twice?
- On the Rounds tab, a dose that’s already ticked asks before anything changes, and shows when it was given and by whom. On paper, the card asks staff to tick and initial every box.
- Why does it flag “with food” and “empty stomach”?
- Because those are easy to miss on a busy round. If a med goes with food at a round with no meal, or wants an empty stomach when a meal is set, it asks you to check with the family.
- Is anything sent or stored?
- No. Pets, families and ticks stay in this tab, notes are copied for you to send yourself, and printing goes straight from your browser to your printer. Remember keeps them only in this browser, and you can untick it to forget them.
- Is this veterinary advice?
- No. It copies what the family and the label say and counts it. It can’t check a dose or a medicine. Follow the label and the vet. Guidance, not veterinary advice.
