How it works

  1. 1 Pick what the offer is for: a quiet afternoon, bringing people back, clearing stock, a launch. It starts you on the kinds of offer that suit it, on the days that need it.
  2. 2 Put in your regular price and what one costs you. It shows what each one keeps, and how many of every ten people have to be new for it to pay.
  3. 3 Set the dates and the fine print, then print the sign, numbered coupons and a card for staff, copy the posts and messages, and add the dates to your calendar.

Free, with no account. The sums and every printed piece are made in your browser: your prices and costs are never sent to us, and there's nowhere to type in a customer. Remember is off unless you turn it on, and then keeps your offer and an optional log of past offers on this device.

Good to know

What does “would have come anyway” mean?
Some people who use an offer were coming in that day regardless, so for them it's money given away. The ones it brought in are where it pays. Nobody knows that split in advance, which is why the tool lets you try it out and suggests a code or a numbered coupon: counting them is how you find out.
What cost should I put in?
Only what one more sale costs you: the ingredients, the product off the shelf, the supplies. Not rent or wages, which you pay whether or not the offer runs. A rough number is fine; the sums show the shape of it.
Can I put the regular price next to the offer?
Only if it really is the regular price: generally, most of your sales over a recent stretch were at that price, or you offered it at that price most of the time (verify). An item that's on offer more often than not has a new regular price. With Remember on, the offer log warns you before that happens. See the Competition Bureau on regular price claims.
Why does every offer get an end date?
An offer that never ends stops bringing anyone in, and a “last chance” that comes back next week can mislead (verify). The sign carries the end date in a stamp, the calendar file reminds you to take it down, and a week later it asks how it went.
Is HST charged on the lower price?
For your own discount, yes: it comes off before tax. A free item given with a purchase has no tax of its own, and a gift card has none when it's sold, only when it's spent. See the CRA on coupons and free gifts and on gift certificates.
Can a bonus gift card expire?
In Ontario, a gift card someone pays for can't. A free bonus card given with one isn't paid for, so it likely can carry dates, printed on the card itself (verify). See Ontario's page on gift cards.
Texting and emailing it
Only to people who said yes, or who bought from you in the last two years (verify). Every message names you, says how to reach you and how to opt out; the email adds your mailing address. The CASL checker can check a message before it goes, and the government's CASL guide has the details.
French and English
Choose both languages for a sign, coupons and posts in each, with French wording you can change. In Quebec, French on signs and ads generally has to come first and be clearly more prominent, which French first sets up for you (verify). See the OQLF on signs and advertising.
