End-of-day till close
Count the drawer, keep tomorrow's float and see if you're over or short. Then print the bank deposit.

How it works
- 1 Count the drawer one kind of note or coin at a time. Tap + and −, or type how many. Rolled coins can go in as rolls.
- 2 Say what float stays in the till for tomorrow. It works out which notes and coins to keep, and the rest is the bank deposit.
- 3 Put in the cash sales from your till or POS report, and any cash paid out or added. It shows what the drawer should hold, and if you're over or short.
- 4 Off by some amount? “Find the difference” checks the usual suspects: one note, a roll, swapped digits, a payout, or a card sale rung up as cash.
Free, with no account. Everything is worked out in your browser: your counts, sales and every figure stay on this device and are never sent to us. Remember is off unless you turn it on, and then keeps your setup and a log of each day's totals on this device only. Today's counts and payouts are never kept, and neither is the made-up example.
Good to know
- What's a float?
- The change that stays in the till so you can open tomorrow: small notes and coins, the same amount every day. Everything over the float is the day's cash, and goes to the bank.
- Why is my till a few cents off?
- Since the penny was phased out, cash totals are rounded to the nearest 5 cents, on the final amount after tax. Card and cheque payments stay exact. If your report shows cash sales before rounding, the drawer can be up to 2 cents off for every cash sale, either way.
- Over is a problem too
- A drawer with more than it should usually means a sale went in wrong, or change was short, and a customer may have paid too much. It's worth finding, the same as a short.
- Should two people count?
- When you can. One counts, one checks, and both sign the printed sheet. On your own, the blind recount helps: count again without seeing the first count, and any row that disagrees gets counted a third time.
- Coin rolls
- The roll sizes here are the usual ones: 40 nickels, 50 dimes, 40 quarters, 25 loonies and 25 toonies. Check with your bank how they want coin wrapped and deposited.
