How it works

  1. 1 Count the rooms, say how often it's cleaned and whether the first visit is a deep clean, the state the home is in and the pets.
  2. 2 Add what's extra: the inside of the oven or the fridge, the blinds, the beds changed, a load of laundry. One the kind of clean already does isn't charged twice.
  3. 3 Put in what an hour of a cleaner costs you, the drive, the supplies and the profit you want. Out comes the price a visit, the first visit's, and the same home at every frequency.
  4. 4 See who cleans what and when they're done, then print the quote for the customer, copy it into a text, or put it on the job's estimate.

Free, with no account: it's worked out in your browser. Remember is off unless you turn it on, and then keeps it on this device. Signed in, it's kept in your account, so a quote can be tied to a job and put on its estimate. The customer's quote never shows what it costs you or the profit. The made-up example is never kept.

Good to know

Why not a price per square foot?
Because bathrooms and kitchens take the time, not the floor. Two homes the same size, one with three bathrooms and one with one, aren't the same job. The rooms set the minutes; the square feet only say what the price comes to a square foot, to compare.
Where do the minutes come from?
They're a place to start, and yours to change: a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, each for one cleaner on a home cleaned every two weeks. A weekly home takes less, a monthly one more, a deep clean about twice as long. Time a few of your own jobs room by room, put in what they take, and every quote after is priced on your pace.
What does an hour cost me?
More than the wage: vacation pay, the employer's share of deductions and workers' comp go on top. If you've worked out your crew labour rate on this device, the calculator offers what a crew hour costs you, with the overhead already in.
Does a second cleaner cost more?
The work is the same, so the price barely moves: two cleaners finish in about half the time. Each one drives there, so the drive is paid twice. Guidance only: what to charge is your call.

Where it fits in a trade

Pricing the job Know the rate that pays you, price the jobs you do again and again from one book, measure it up or price a home's cleaning by the room, hand the customer a written estimate with the rebates they may get, and have them sign the contract.

The whole job, mapped

A hand-off only moves when you press it, and never through a link: signed in, the next tool reads your account's book; signed out, it waits in this browser until the next tool picks it up.
